Summary

askiana does not set any cookies, does not show any advertising and does not load fonts, maps or videos from third party servers. Your request goes to no more than three suitable businesses and to nobody else. You can withdraw it at any time and have your contact details deleted.

Request form

When you submit a request, we process the details of your project (industry, service, scope, answers to the questions, time frame, postcode and town, description), whether you are making the request privately or on behalf of a company, the name of the company where applicable, as well as your first name and surname, email address, phone number and preferred times to be contacted. We also store the language in which you submitted your request, so that our emails reach you in that language.

The purpose is to find suitable businesses for your project and to pass your request on to them. The legal basis for passing it on is the consent you give in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and the performance of the brokering you have asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, most easily via the link in your confirmation email.

To protect against misuse, we check whether the form was submitted from this website and limit the number of requests per connection. For this purpose we process the IP address briefly; only an irreversible hash value is stored with the request. Submissions identified as spam are logged with the IP address and a text excerpt for no more than 30 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Until you submit the form, your entries remain in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage), so that nothing is lost if you reload the page. They are deleted there once you submit the form or close the tab.

For a request for MPU counselling (preparation for the German medical and psychological assessment of fitness to drive), the reason (for example alcohol, drugs or medication) may constitute information about your health. We only process and transmit such information with your explicit consent, which you give separately in the form (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), and only to the counselling services that receive your request.

Recipients of your request

Your request, including your contact details, goes to no more than three businesses whose services and area of operation match your project. We tell you which businesses these are in the confirmation email and on the status page of your request. If a suitable business joins within 14 days while your request has not yet reached three businesses, that business will also receive it, and you will be sent a message with its contact details.

The businesses process your data under their own responsibility in order to answer your request and make you an offer. Their own privacy notices apply to any further processing by them. If you withdraw your request or have your data deleted, we inform the businesses and ask them to delete it.

Emails

You receive a confirmation of your request and, if a business joins later, a message about this. We do not send advertising. We send the emails via our own mail server or the mail server of our hosting provider. Each email is recorded in a dispatch log so that we can check delivery.

Registration for businesses

The registration form on the page /en/register/ is loaded by askiana as an embedded frame from micovis.com, the shared access point of our portals, which is also operated by NexTao GmbH. Your details (company, address, VAT ID, contact person, email address, phone number, username) go directly to micovis.com and are processed there in accordance with its privacy policy. askiana itself stores nothing during registration; askiana only receives company data at the first sign in. The frame does not set any cookies. The legal basis is the initiation of the user relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Account area for businesses and signing in with mico

Businesses sign in with mico. Sign in takes place via micovis.com, the shared access point of our portals, which is also operated by NexTao GmbH. The login details (mico or username and sico) go directly to micovis.com and never reach askiana. After a successful sign in, micovis.com transmits to askiana an internal identifier, mico, username, company name, first name and surname as well as email address. In addition, there is the information the business enters itself in the account area: profile, search profiles (services, area, quantity, notification), processing status and notes on requests. The legal basis is the performance of the user relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

For the duration of the session, the browser receives a random session key. It is held only in the session storage (sessionStorage) of the open tab; we store only its hash value. askiana does not set any cookies here either. A session ends after eight hours of inactivity, after seven days at the latest, and immediately on signing out.

When a business accepts our terms and conditions, we store the time, version, company name, mico and an irreversible hash value of the IP address as proof of consent for as long as the account exists and beyond that until the statutory limitation periods have expired (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

The name, town, phone number, email address, website and short description from a business's profile are visible to the people whose requests the business receives.

Visitor counting

The public pages (home page, industry pages, overviews and legal texts) load a small counting script from analytics.axaix.app, our network's own statistics server. It is located in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and the data is not passed on to third parties. The account area, sign in and the status page of your request are not counted.

The script does not set any cookies and does not store anything in the browser. It records the page visited, the page the visit came from, screen width and language, the approximate device type, browser and operating system, as well as clicks on downloads and on links to other websites. The IP address is used only briefly to determine the country and city and to create a daily hash, and is then discarded, never stored. The hash is created anew every day, so it is not possible to recognise a visitor across several days. Raw data is deleted after twelve months. If the browser sends “Do Not Track”, the visit is not counted. askiana does not display any advertising.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of these pages with as little data as possible (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. on servers in the European Union; a data processing agreement is in place with Hostinger. When the pages are accessed, technical logs are created (IP address, time, address requested, browser identifier), which serve security and troubleshooting purposes and are deleted after a short time. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Storage period

We automatically delete the contact details relating to a request twelve months after receipt; the project details without any personal reference are kept for statistical purposes. If you withdraw a request, it remains stored until then so that we can answer any questions. If you ask us to, we delete the contact details immediately. You can do this via the link in the confirmation email or with a message to info@askiana.com at any time. We discard unconfirmed requests after seven days. We store business accounts for as long as they are in use.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time (Art. 7(3)). Simply write to info@askiana.com with your request.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example with the authority responsible for us, the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen). You may also complain to the supervisory authority in your own country.

Security

The connection is encrypted (HTTPS). The database is located outside the public web directory, and we store session keys and access credentials for the status page only as hash values.
